Giving to Breaking Barriers
Breaking Barriers helps people within communities provide help to their neighbors through action. That means we cannot exist without you! Being an active member of a community that is responding to a crisis makes you a very special community member and one that shares our ideas about taking care of one another.
You can give to Breaking Barriers in several ways, giving your time, giving your energy or financial gifts. All three ways are equally weighted with us and we appreciate anything people are able to do. There is a lot of work to be done and there is no time like the present to get involved.
Giving your time could take the form of taking someone to a doctors appointment, or helping them around their house. It could be that you can come in and answer phones for us for a couple hours so we can work on filing paperwork. You might want to come in and help clean or take on a larger project like helping someone move. Whatever you have time for we can probably find a way to keep you busy! We pride ourselves on helping people find ways to help regardless of the amount of time they have to give.
Giving the gift of energy is a more subtle yet important way to help the agency out. This can be done by promoting the agency within the community. Maybe by referring all your friends through myspace or facebook to our pages or our website, maybe its by talking to your church or social group about the work we do. It could just be through talking us up to your friends, keeping us active in peoples minds and helping them to understand the importance of our work to Sacramento is vital to us.
Give your time
This is one of the most important things we do, and one of the most valuable gifts you can give.
Craig would be happy to hear from you either over the phone or by e-mail so drop us a line!
Financial Gifts
Breaking Barriers uses Network for Good to handle all of our online donations. They are a completely secure online giving organization. We have used them for many years and are very happy with their service.
